Sustainable investment strategies are becoming more profitable. However, this is not the only reason why they are gaining popularity among investors.
A change can be observed in the financial world, which is especially noticeable in sustainable investments. But what does sustainable investment mean? Ideal investments are usually characterized by high levels of security and attractive returns. However, ensuring high levels of security and attractive returns at the same time is a challenge, which is already given in traditional investments.
In comparison to classic investment strategies, sustainable investments additionally follow other principles, apart from profitability. These principles and values are based on interests in climate and environmental protection as well as ecology. Furthermore, social and ethical interests are also common. Those, value-based investments, are “making a contribution to a better world”, which significantly benefits the investor’s external perception.
