The most beautiful hidden places in London

From Innsbruck I take the plane to London Gatwick. I am sitting at the window, but unfortunately it is very cloudy. Looking out, I think to myself how small we actually are, but still everyone is so big to change the world.

Near Gatwick Airport I like to take the bus line 87 into the city, so you can save yourself the hop-on hop-off sightseeing tour, because it goes straight into the city to Aldgate.During the bus ride you will already see a few sights such as Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Big Pen, Horse Guards, Trafalgar Square and London Eye. In any case, it is an adventure to drive through London on the upper floor of the red buses.

Arriving in the city centre I felt like having a good Indian meal. Next to the subway station Euston there are great Indian vegetarian restaurants. I ate a spinach roll. It was really great.

From there I went to Camden Market. This area is fantastic, music and people are unique there. I like that.

From Camden, you can walk along the Regent’s Road canal. It’s very beautiful and not a tourist attraction. At Prince Albert’s Road Ramp you can leave the road again and walk towards Primrose Hill. From up there you have one of the most beautiful views of London.

If you like to try new dishes, wagamama is a good option. There you can eat Japanese bowls and noodles. I can recommend the soups there, they’re really good.

My advice, don’t eat in the citycenter. Further out there are such great, cheaper and more interesting restaurants. In addition, the people are very open-minded and the surroundings are beautiful.

Don’t let the crowds of tourists drag you along, ask the locals where their favorite spot in town is.
